Jatheon details are based on Jatheon’s publicly available documentation as of September 2026 and may not capture all capabilities. Information is reviewed periodically.

When Jatheon may be a better fit

  • The firm still runs HCL Notes (formerly Lotus Notes) or GroupWise and wants those mailboxes archived alongside newer channels.
  • The firm wants to buy through AWS Marketplace and have the purchase billed to its existing AWS account, for example to count it toward an AWS spending commitment. Jatheon is listed on AWS Marketplace; Comma is not.

Review risky messages without changing the conversation

Jatheon’s Content Policy, launched in September 2026, can delete WhatsApp messages that match a configured rule and mark them as “Deleted by Policy” in the archive.

When a message matches a policy, Comma flags it for review instead of deleting it. A reviewer decides what action is appropriate, and the conversation is preserved as it occurred.

Signal support

As of September 2026, Signal is not listed among Jatheon’s supported channels, and Jatheon’s help center directs customers to contact support about Signal.

Comma captures Signal alongside WhatsApp, iMessage, and 40+ other channels.

Pricing

Jatheon prices channels separately on a per-user basis. For firms archiving multiple channels, each additional channel can add another per-user charge.

Comma includes every channel in one per-user price.

See how capture works

Comma publishes capture code for WhatsApp, Signal, and Android text messaging on GitHub. Compliance teams can inspect how those channels are captured without requesting an NDA or a private technical review.
